Amazon To Compete With Flipkart's Big Billion Day
Yes, that’s right! close to the heels of Flipkart’s much-awaited Annual sale Big Billion Day and as reported by Firstpost Amazon will be launching the grand Indian Festival from 1st October 2016 to 5th October. On Thursday, one of the marketing executives from Amazon confirmed that they would host the Great Indian Festival to take on Flipkart.
Although, Flipkart which was recently voted as the most preferred brand among Indians, It is believed that Amazon now is the leading E-commerce portal in India. It’s fast delivery and a great range of products has always been on the minds of the customers. The customers could expect a whole bunch of electronic appliances, mobile gadgets, clothes, footwear, and many other exciting products to be sold during that period at a very low cost.
Because of the festive season lined up next month, Amazon will be holding this offer to make customer’s feel happy by giving them great discounts on their favourite products. Amit Agarwal, the CEO of Amazon India, believes that they are not insecure by the competitive e-commerce portals as they would be concentrating more on their abilities.
Amazon’s popularity is growing in the e-commerce arena and they have overtaken the market by giving a stiff competition to their competitors. They are growing rapidly in terms of sales, and the number of products they sell on a daily basis.
On the marketing front, they are contemplating to publish full page ads covering all the details of their latest promotions and offers on the leading magazines and newspapers. They also have started the radio campaign advertising the sale in all the major metros.
Amazon has also tied up with many leading Bollywood producers to associate themselves with the movie that are about to release at the same time.
Now, we all have to wait for the Snapdeal’s similar sale which is expected to happen during the same time. While the ecommerce players are eyeing for the customer’s money, the ecommerce are eyeing for the coveted “Numero Uno” position to secure their customer base in India.
