Paytm Ties Up With Retails Stores For Cashless Payments.

I’m sure you would have noticed new TV advertisement of Paytm that is being aired for quite some time now. The ad tries to sell the concept of Cashless transaction in the retail world.

As reported by financial express, Paytm, has tied up with major retails stores like Heritage Fresh, Spencer’s Retail, More, Pai Mobile, WH Smith, Kendriya Bhandar, Value Plus, V2 Retail, and other retail chains in the country.

Apart from solving the small change problem, the Paytm Cashless facility also helps the users to receive lots of promotional offers and discounts directly to their paytm account; claims the company.

Paytm had earlier tied up with bigger players in the retail market including KFC, Café Coffe Day (CCD), Barista, Pizza Hut, Costa Coffee, and other food chains outlets in India.

Paytm which has made a name for itself in the online world by offering mobile recharge offers to lakhs of customers has also tied up with merchants at Tier and II and Tier III cities. This enables
users to make payments through “Paytm Wallet” without the need of cash transaction.

Vijay Shekhar led Paytm , is already in news for planning to launch the “Payments Bank “ and will continue to make inroads to other Tier 2  and Tier 3 cities across India.

Since the Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities are not accustomed cashless transaction, it is interesting to see how this venture turns out, both for paytm and consumers. Let’s wait and watch, hopefully, everyone will be happy.
