Launched in 2018, Dealshare witnessed a 50% month-on-month growth. The journey started in September 2018. They launched the Dealshare app in November 2018. From an average of 300 orders per day, they reached 5000 a day in January 2019. The exponential trade growth then became a factor to expand their franchise to more places like Sikar and Kota in Rajasthan. In April, they started operating in major cities like Ahmedabad and other major towns in Rajasthan. That year in September, the company witnessed a peak in customers to 1 lakh customers and 3 lakh plus orders.
By the end of the year 2019, they expanded to other major cities like Mumbai and Greater Bombay. The year 2020 and the covid-19 pandemic helped in the company’s splurge. As local grocery shops shut down and curfews made people stay at home. Dealshare came forward to deliver daily essentials to doorsteps.
The pandemic helped Dealshare in expanding its services to further stations and it started operating in Ghaziabad and NCR region. The Dealshare platform is ever growing, now the company receives 55 thousand orders a day and has 3.2 million satisfied customers.
Dealshare is a small scale supply chain based startup that operates in tier 1 and tier 2 cities. Global giant e-commerce companies like Amazon and Flipkart are popular among urban upper-class people. To the rural and lower middle-class people where internet and delivery services are not functioning, e-commerce is still a far reaching territory. Vineet Rao and Sourjyendu Medda decided to reach these rural and lower middle-class people.
Dealshare founded by Vineet Rao and Sourjyendu Medda, was on a mission to reach 500 million users in the non-metro cities and rural areas. People in these areas are not comfortable using online platforms and many of them are scared of online payments and don’t feel secure buying products and paying the amount before receiving the product. And most people are still new to the internet and are baffled by the high price of products seen on major sites.
Dealshare saw this as an opportunity. They decided to deliver affordable value-for-money products that are in demand among people. To help local and regional businesses and to provide consumers with affordable and quality products, Dealshare focused on locally manufactured products rather than national brands. Dealshare focused on selling locally manufactured products on their platform rather than high end expensive national and international brands.
To stand out from the crowd, Dealshare opted for a new method of operation. One that can help them bring the ‘WhatsApp first’ users to e-commerce and empower the regional market. The success of Dealshare was local suppliers and manufacturers. The founders realised that the suppliers and manufacturers, if worked together in an organised manner, had much more capacity than they knew they were capable of. Vineet Rao added AI and his experience into the mix of local traders and manufacturers to create the unicorn magic; Dealshare.
Dealshare reached out to the common people via WhatsApp to make the idea of e-commerce popular among them. They started with a primary base of 100-150 customers, which mostly included their friends and employees’ acquaintances in Jaipur. This figure eventually skyrocketed to 20,000 people. These were the clear signs that showed them their experiments were successful. The app was later developed after they realised the consumers were willing to try the online market if the purchase options are not complicated.
To make Dealshare more profitable and to cater for the needs of low-income households, they introduced earning programs like refer and earn. It requires your friends to install the DealShare app via the link you shared. You are eligible for the payment only if the friends to whom you shared the link have never installed DealShare on their phones before. The number used must not have an account already registered on DealShare in that number.
Signup and get 10% off on your first purchase. Every new user when they login into Dealshare and make their first purchase, they are eligible for 10% off on their first purchase. Since Dealshare targets less tech-savvy people. They have a very easy login process.

To make the process of online marketing effortless, for aged and less technology-friendly rural customers, the start-up provides cost-free home delivery and gives cash on delivery options.
Delivers more than twenty thousand products of both national and international brands.
SuprDaily: SuprDaily is best if you are looking forward to a service with no minimum order option. They deliver products by 7 AM.
Dunzo works round the clock to deliver products within 60 mins after placing the order. Alongside groceries, they also deliver food and medicine.
Social marketing or encouraging consumers to make purchases in groups is interactive and cost-effective. Social shopping made it easier for people to shop as they get reviews from their close friends or family rather than looking for ratings on sites like Amazon and Flipkart. Dealshare embraced social shopping techniques to promote team purchases by building a community to make shopping fun and interactive again.
Dealshare still offers its service through Whatsapp. They have over 100 active groups where they share regular updates about discounts and products.
Sadly no, they are now functioning in only a few places like Jaipur, Mumbai, Nagpur etc. DealShare aims to expand its business across more states and cities. They target to expand to 10 states and over 100 cities.
