The restaurant was founded back in 2021 by a CA by profession, Divya Raghavendra Rao and Raghavendra Rao. The motto behind starting the restaurant business was to bring the traditional South Indian food culture to the front line, with consistent high-quality foods and services. She had planned to start a restaurant business after seeing how large global food chain businesses like KFC or McDonald’s captured the best market value by serving their traditional food.

The dream came closer to success when she met Mr. Raghavendra, who was already the owner of a decent food cart in Sheshadripuram with 15+ years of in-depth experience in the food industry.

Later on, both of them have launched a restaurant named as Rameswaram Cafe. They came up with the idea of the name by deciding to give a tribute to the legendary scientist, and proud of all the Indian citizens Dr. APJ Abudul Kalam. The word Rameswaram brings all the customers to connect with the taste of Southern India. The handcrafted artwork, with catchy colours, and traditional patterns reflect a standard image of a coastal town in South India.

The restaurant is famous for serving pure veg South Indian food and has a set goal to cover the world with its food.
